3am was shot on 35mm film during a week in the spring of 2003. It took four weeks for picture lock. Then four more weeks for sound design. It was color timed at Fotokem in Burbank, CA and mixed at FSU in Tallahassee, FL. 3am finally premiered on August 3rd in Tallahassee.

3am went on to win numerous awards during its run in the festival circuit. These awards include a Student Emmy, an ASC Heritage Award, and Best Short at Screamfest LA. Not to mention screenings at Cannes and The Sundance Film Festival.
